The "Smiley Bug" is a slow speed spinner bait that mimics natural forage for all species of freshwater fish. The "Smiley Bug" spinner has been perfectly balanced to track and spin at very slow speeds. It is so light that it spins freely using a household fan and is easily cast with a Fly Rod.

The "Smiley Bug" uses authentic Mack's Lure Smile Blades® and Gamakatsu® Treble Hooks. It also contains a specific number of pearl beads of specific colors and sizes to cause the spinner to "Swim" in a very specific way. The "Smiley Bug" is tied on 10 pound test line that was selected for specific characteristics that help the "Smiley Bug" swim and remain neutrally buoyant at slow speeds. From the Blade, to the hook, to the knot used, the "Smiley Bug" was constructed to work in a very specific way.

For the "Smiley Bug" to work correctly, you must keep it "Gunk" free. A spray bottle with simple water sprayed on the area with the Gunk on it works fine. Don't use cleaners. It will scent the spinner.
